About

“Unlike all the other art forms, film is able to seize and render the passage of time, to stop it, almost to possess it in infinity. I’d say that film is the sculpting of time.”

– Andrei Tarkovsky

The Howell High School Movie Club is composed of students who love to watch and talk about movies.  Every meeting starts with a quick discussion about movies and a brief introduction to the film we will be watching.  Next we watch the film and students are invited to stay after for a discussion and give their thoughts (some of which end up on this very site)!

Club sponsor, Jason Kane is an English teacher at Howell High School and also a huge movie buff.  His reviews of hundreds of movies can be found on his website The People's Critic.
